In 2021 , Ian produced an article for Irish Cult watchdog Dialogue Ireland about The Modern Mystery School , an international cult which blends Christian mysticism and ritual magic from the Hermetic Order of The Golden Dawn (A late 19th century Occult group whose members included W.B Yeats and Maud Gonne).
The article was published in response to a Vice article from 2021. Allegedly , the founder of Dialogue Ireland was the first to bring the cult to the publics attention and collaborated with Vice on the piece but was not credited. As part of his research , Ian joined the cult but found that membership and entry to anything past zoom calls was very expensive.
